May 24, 2023

I pray that you are doing well this week. But maybe you've had a couple wonky days and need a turn-around midweek? I can relate!

Last night, my daughter asked me why I'd been so grumpy the last two days.... ouch. Many times, we think our attitude struggles are internal and don't effect anyone else. Not the case, most of the time. The yucky stuff we're dealing with personally usually bleeds out on the people around us.

What do you do with the yucky? Psalm 55:22 says  "Cast your burden upon the LORD and He will sustain you; He will never allow the righteous to be shaken." And again in 1Peter 5:7 "Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you."

God cares and God sustains. So, we are learning to trust Him with our burdens. Come to Wednesday Worship and Prayer, tonight at 7pm!

Last Sunday, Pastor Merrick brought a message on the power of prayer to partner with God bringing freedom in our lives. If you missed it, go watch it on our media page or listen to it wherever you listen to podcasts!

This Sunday, we'll continue in Acts 12 and learn a bit about humility before God.

A huge thank you to all of you who helped on Saturday for the Property Reclamation Day! What an incredible difference. If you can, take a walk around the property this Sunday to admire the work.

A few things to be aware of this week:
- This coming Monday thru Thursday is the Foursquare Connection in Anaheim, CA. Foursquare is celebrating 100 years! Kellie and I, Corey and Merrick will be in attendance. Would you join us in prayer for the travels and that God's will would be FULLY accomplished in this gathering?
Also, if you'd like to attend online, it's free and you can register HERE.

- Saturday, June 3rd, at 2pm is a Celebration of Life service for Sandy Parr. If you knew Sandy, you are invited to join us at Viewpoint Church in the Sanctuary.

- Monday Is Memorial Day. Take a moment to acknowledge and honor the memory of our servicemen and women who have given their lives for us and our nation. And THEN BBQ.

I'll see you in church!

Grace and Peace,

Pastor Jonathan
