I have three things for you this week.

- Update on Tim:
Many of you know that our own Tim Drab suffered a severe cardiac event on Saturday evening at the church. After 10 minutes of CPR and the use of an AED, he was stabilized and then transported to Good Samaritan Hospital in Puyallup. We have seen God's miraculous hand through this whole event, but especially in preserving Tim's life! He is now at home resting and recovering from the life-saving CPR (which broke 4 ribs and fractured the sternum). If you know Tim at all, you also know that there is an abundance of jokes and puns, both from Tim and about Tim.... for propriety's sake, I'll refrain here. Continue to pray with us for full recovery for Tim!

- Important Giving Info: Our name change to Viewpoint Church is now in effect!
I don't talk much about tithing and giving, but I wholeheartedly believe in the principles of honoring God as our source and giving TO God, THROUGH the local church to fund the mission. It's the way God set it up! Now, there are some logistical reasons to bring this up, since our legal name has changed.

Three ways to Give:
1) Giving Online is the easiest and quickest. You can set up recurring giving simply and quickly too! Click HERE to set up your online giving. You can also text-to-give to 84321
**If you have your tithes set up for auto-pay through your bank, you'll need to cancel the previous setup and create a new recipient of "Viewpoint Church"  with a mailing address of PO Box 1198 Milton, WA 98354.

2) Give in-person at church. Each Sunday, we'll receive tithes and offerings
Checks should be made out to Viewpoint Church. Checks made out to NWC, Northwest Church Edgewood, or even The Edge will not be accepted at by the bank.

3) Mail-it-in. If you are mailing a check, send it to
Viewpoint Church
PO Box 1198
Milton, WA 98354

- Safe Sanctuary/Planning Center Training:
In pursuit of becoming the safest possible place for children and the vulnerable, this Safe Sanctuary training is for all current and future volunteers in all areas of the church. Planning Center is our main tool for communications, scheduling, and organizing. So, it's important to know how to navigate the basics. This will help us streamline operations, yes, but also create space for more people to be involved!
This will be a potluck right after church on January 22nd.
Register HERE and plan to bring something to share.

This Sunday, Pastor Merrick is leading worship and Seth Goodwin is bringing an encouraging message out of Philippians 3. My family and I will be in Oregon with extended family for the weekend. But I'll be back at it on Sunday the 22nd, ready to jump back into Acts Chapter 8!

I'll see you in church, well, next week!

Pastor Jonathan
